Vila do Conde on a Summer Day

Santa Clara's Monastery

Vila do Conde is a lovely city with a huge History ..... come on and lets visit it....

As always, the best way to get to know a place is walking. Lets start on the south margin of the Ave's river, just opposite from Santa Clara's Monastery.

Church of Nossa Senhora do Socorro

This is another symbol of the city. The church of Nossa Senhora do Socorro which seams to have Moorish influence

Cais das Lavandeiras

This is one of the most recently recovered parts of the city. "Cais das Lavandeiras".

During the 15 hundreds this used to be one of the busiest parts of City. As a matter of fact it is where all boats would unload their merchandise which would then go through the royal customs.....located just across the street, hidden by the building on the left of the picture.

Sunset on the chapel of Nossa Sra da Guia

The Sun is almost gone. And it´s time to go home.
